On keeping it minimal
Why a small, fast, text-first site beats a heavy one. A blog has one job: get out of the way of the words. No autoplaying anything, no cookie banners, no megabytes of framework. Just readable type, a sensible measure, and a layout that works on a phone, a laptop, and a screen reader alike. This site loads almost no JavaScript — search and the theme toggle are the only exceptions, and both are optional. The result is a page that renders instantly and stays legible for years. Less to maintain, less to break, more time to write.
